ASUS TUF Gaming K4 - a 75% magnetic keyboard with hot-swap switches, 8000Hz and a Speed Tap button.
The TUF Gaming K4 is a 75% keyboard using hot-swappable TUF magnetic linear switches with hall-effect sensing, so the actuation point is set in software: 0.1 to 3.3mm in 0.01mm increments. Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap each have a dedicated button, and the board polls at 8000Hz with a 0.125ms response over a braided USB-A to USB-C cable. A gasket mount with five layers of dampening sits under doubleshot PBT keycaps, and the sockets accept replacement switches without soldering.
Key Features
-
75% magnetic layout — Compact and cable-connected, with the arrow keys kept.
-
Hot-swap magnetic switches — Swap between linear, tactile or clicky switches without soldering.
-
0.1-3.3mm actuation in 0.01mm steps — Actuation set in software rather than fixed by the switch.
-
Dedicated Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap buttons — Toggle each function from the keyboard; an indicator light shows when active.
-
8000Hz polling, 0.125ms — A high-speed microcontroller refreshes input far faster than a standard keyboard.
-
Gasket mount, five-layer dampening — Absorbs vibration and switch ping for a quieter board.
-
Doubleshot PBT keycaps — Textured, wear-resistant legends on a south-facing PCB for keycap compatibility.
