MelGeek Centauri 80 EVANGELION Edition - the officially licensed Rei Ayanami board: 83 keys, a CNC aluminium case, a 1.78in OLED touchscreen at 326 PPI and a 0.01mm Rapid Trigger.

Pre-Order. MelGeek releases the Centauri 80 Rei Edition from 10 October 2026. It is a limited production run with no restock planned and every unit individually serialized, so orders are filled in the sequence they arrive - order now to hold your place in that queue.

The Centauri 80 Rei Edition is the 80% board of MelGeek's EVANGELION collaboration - 83 keys in ANSI with the full function row, arrow cluster and a 1.78 inch OLED touchscreen, wrapped in a milled aluminium case finished in Rei's EVA-00 palette. Inside are Flip King of Magnetic White hall-effect switches on hot-swap sockets: no contacts to wear, 35gf actuation, 0.1-3.4mm of travel and a 100 million keystroke rating. Rapid Trigger works at 0.01mm with a zero dead zone, actuation adjusts per key, and the board reports at 8000Hz with a 16000Hz scan rate and 0.125ms latency over wired USB Type-C. Six distributed MCUs, a leaf-spring gasket mount, five-layer acoustic damping, Poron foam and an FR4 plate give it the low, refined sound the Rei tuning is known for, while the OLED screen runs JPG, PNG or GIF wallpapers through MelGeek Hive - no install, and everything saves to onboard memory.

• Rapid Trigger at 0.01mm, zero dead zone — Keys reset the moment travel reverses rather than at a fixed reset point, with per-key actuation adjustment and Snap Tap for fast counter-strafing.
• 8000Hz polling / 16000Hz scanning — 0.125ms latency, NKRO, Super Key support and a 6-MCU distributed architecture that cuts signal noise on the way to the host.
• CNC aluminium case, 1.8 kg — Tinned spring gasket mount, Poron damping, five-layer acoustic stack and an FR4 plate - a low, refined tone rather than a hollow one.
• Collector details — Rei identity plate, EVA-00 engraving, N2 missile keycap motif, cool silver rotary knob and the EVANGELION limited-edition packaging with its collector's envelope.
• MelGeek Hive configuration — Rapid Trigger, actuation, dead zone, macros, lighting and readback all set in the browser and stored on the board - it runs standalone afterwards, on Windows, macOS or Linux.
